New York Hi , the two doctors I worked for were both anesthesiologists, because they are the ones who deal with the spinal area, like in hospitals doing epidurals for women in labor (example) it is also done for pain. The ESI's and CSI's done for pain, and the trigger points injections done for pain. One doctor was a DO which is a doctor who can write prescriptions is just as good as a MD but studies more bones and muscles it stands for doctor of osteopathic medicine, and of course a MD who then specializes in pain management. Look at your doctor's Rx next time and see if it has a DO or a MD following the name (one way to tell). But the one I am seeing is neither, which baffled me. She is a MD who studied physical therapy and has a PHD in therapudic muscle and bone development. Hope that helps. I know what you mean, I was up until 5:30 can't sleep, worried about tomorrow. Good Luck! Janet (SC)
