Guest guest
HI Lana, I,m curious what kind of radiationn you had, I had the regular type (Used in Cancer treatments, I don't know the proper name)done on both AN's as they radiated a malignent Glioma. Your symptoms sound so similar. I have a very dry eye which caused cornea damage. All I knew of at the time was celluvisc at the time. I now use lacrilube at night and at times during the day that it is giving me trouble. It seems to comfort my eye and 'repair' it. It does cause blurry vision but for me it has been worth it. Also Tear Gel is a gel that was more convienient for me for a time, as opposed to drops. How long ago was your surgery? Some drs. are so anxious to do grafting and sewing. Alot can change in the first year. Guest guest
Hi Lana, let's see...about those eye meds... I use Refresh PM ointment every night. It's up to roughly 2 to 2 1/2 tubes a month. Each tube is about $10. I also have to use Celluvisc every hour during waking hours. A box of 30 tubes lasts me about 2 days, at the most. Each box is about $10. *FYI - each of these meds can run up to $12 per tube or box depending on where you buy it ( So, go figure...I think that works about to roughly $175 a month. And they're not covered by anything because they're over the counter. If there's anyone out there who can help me on this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, June PS - I've tried the lighter products with lighter viscosity and they don't work
Guest guest
{{{Margaret}}} Glad you got your meds and good luck with the not smoking, I'm proud of you. Hang in there!! --Leigh -- pain Hi, all. I'm able to sit at the computer and type. I had one percocet left last night. I took it at about 10, because i had rationed them and still only had one left. When I take them, I usually take 2. So, needless to say, I was in pain all night and had the restless leg/body thing. It's like 1,000,000 electrical shocks (tiny ones) going through my muscles. I didn't get any sleep. I couldn't lay there. And this morning was hell. My mom finally got my prescription for me and when she pulled up, I was never so glad to see her. I took 3!! I just needed to feel really good. On the ninth I get my oxycontin filled. I love those because It's time released, I dont' get those electrical currents in the middle of the night and I wake up feeling pretty good. Oh, and i've quit smoking, yesterday, as a matter of fact. I have to admit I did smoke some butts this morning!! haha. But that's it. And I don't know why but Im not craving them. I usually enjoy my cigarettes when I'm out of pain so we'll see how Im doing then! Thanks for letting me babble on. Margaret, mom to the monsters 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Wow Margaret, Congrats on quitting smoking... I'll be quitting again on the 17th of this month as there's no smoking at the "outlaws" house over the holidays. I figure it's a good time to try again. I'm so sorry you're in so much pain and hope you feel better soon. It sucks to run out of meds :-( loving healing hugs, Norah --Norah Bleazard - Burlington, Ontario Canadawww.bleazard.net ~ www.janorlites.comE-MAIL=norah.fibroyahoo@...CHAT=MSN = black_dak_98@...Yahoo = drazaelbnAIM = black98dakICQ = 105346330Site Moderator for: fibromyalgia_support_group Site Owner for:Fibromites_Fighting_Weight:http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Fibromites_Fighting_Weighthttp://fibromites.ath.cx pain Hi, all.
