Guest guest
Apparently quite a few people react this way to capsaicin, though it never bothered me. It just didn't help much. Capsaicin is made from the extract of some kind of Mexican hot peppers, and it definitely burns a bit going on. My theory, supported by absolutely nothing other that intuition, is that continued use causes the red pepper stuff to numb the nerve endings near the surface of the skin. So it should be used on skin areas that aren't too sensitive, for pain that's fairly shallow (I wonder how it would work on shingles). Now someone who's done their homework can jump in and correct me. 8^) Chuck Lois wrote: > I faithfully used it for a week and as each day went on my > feet were getting redder and more painful, but wanted to do > what was suggested. Finally they broke out in blisters.
