Guest guest
Veena I have had mulitple cortizone shots also and have found their value very dependable. I had one once in my scapular for scapular thoractic bursistis which was caused by the the scapular trying to hold my shoulder in place. WHen is it really bad, it hurts to breathe. THe shot is huge and he has to twist around to get under the bursa. I am remembering this so clearly because I had another one today. I also had one in my shoulder to try to help with inflamation from what is probably a torn ligament from the instability. His hope is that if it works, I will be able to work during the time it is feeling better to strenghten the joint and avoid surgery. It began the same way as the other shoulder but worse. I am already looking at surgery in July for a tumor of unknown type in the joint of a finger, possibly surgery on that elbow and if the strengthening doesn't help... it didn't in the other shoulder,,, surgery in that shoulder. HOw do you guys stand the pain and inability to use the arm!!! DIana
