Guest guest
Hello, Can anyone tell me about their use of 5 HTP? I have used it in the past with good results, and as I have now completed my Tegretol withdrawal i am learning from this site what supplements/nutrients to take. I am being careful around anything which might elevate my mood too much. I want to say how much better I feel off Tegretol.. Diane
Guest guest
Hi Diane, I am so glad you are feeling better off the tegretol. On several occasions I have seen tell people on the list not to use 5HTP or St. 's Wort. SAMe probably falls into the same category. These supplements do mess with neurotransmitters. Being natural doesn't guarantee their safety. Our strategy here is to correct the underlying nutritional imbalances. That is why the core of recommened supplements are fish oil, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, and best quality multi vitamin and colloidal mineral formulas. You also asked about Ginkgo in another email. Sometimes she recommends that to individuals and sometimes not. It depends on their particular case. It helped me a lot. If you are already taking it and it is not giving you any problems, then it is okay to keep taking it until you talk to . I suggest reposting the gingko question in a few days. Take care, Brings words and photos together (easily) with PhotoMail - it's free and works with Yahoo! Mail.
