Welcome back Cheryl...although I really hope you aren't overdoing by

getting on here so soon!

I'm glad everyhting went so smootly, but the treatment you got was as

about as horrible as it comes. I can't believe the surgeon didn't

come in to talk to you about do's and don'ts, and to check on you to

make SURE you were ready to be released! And I'm just floored that

they had you leaving the hospital a mere 45 minutes after your

surgery, and never bothered to check on you afterwords, peroid!

That is just so morally wrong!

But like you said, at least you were able to go home and be

comfortable, AND get adequate pain relief from your own meds. At

least you know you didn't pay $15 for an aspirin! I'm so glad you

didn't have any problems with the anesthetic too, and they should be

thanking their lucky stars that you didn't either!

I did some research on gallbladder removal, and still feeling pain

afterwards, and I came up with several possibilities and options.

Here are the things I found out. First, Leaky Gut Syndrome and GERD

can mimick the symptoms of gallbladder problems. Have you had both of

those checked. I also found out that you could be retaining gall

stones that were already formed before surgery, that are still there,

either travelling to the liver, or are already there. If it hasn't

been checked out, have your doctor do so! These are primarily bile

duct stones.

I also found one treatment option that can destroy any stones (if, in

fact, there are any), that does not require more surgery. It is

calle oral bile duct litholysis, or oral disolution therapy. You

really need to talk to your doctor as soon as you possibly can. The

fact that you are still having so much pain after a surgery that was

supposed to be helpful is a red flag jumping up and down, screaming

PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!

It was great to hear from you, but I hope that the next time, I'll

hear that your doctors figured out what the problem is, and that it's

been taken care of properly!

I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling all the well emotionally

either. I know you though Cheryl, you are not the type of person who

just rolls over and quits. You've been through so much adversity,

pain and so much else in your life, yet you are one of the most

caring and thoughtful people I have ever met in my life.

What you should do is go out and do something totally frivolous for

yourself. Get a manicure or pedicure, or both, get a sassy new

hairdo, buy a great outfit (and if you find it at a bargain price,

even better!), or just treat yourself to something extra special.

You've been a wonderful asset to this group, so don't forget to treat

yourself the way you treat everyone else. It doesn't have to be

expensive, but it can sure feel like it!

Please keep us posted on how you are doing, okay sweetie? You know

how much we all care for you, and even in the rough times, we will

always be here to give you the love and support you've so rightly

earned! But be careful not to overdo it! I would hate to see you

land back in that hideous joke of a hospital!!

Blessings to you and yours,

Jen Z.
