I made mention to my neurologist about LDN a few months ago and he

didn't have a clue what it was. I didn't pursue it and dropped it. I

still think my Copaxone works well.

The diabetes seems to be under control. I am gaining weight though, no clue as to why...I think it might have to do with the Candida? So I'm taking positive steps to eliminate that. My sweet DH said, though, that he'd still love me if I was 500# and wired to a wheelchair... Which is very sweet but I really hope never comes about!

Akiba,

I have been on LDN since last August, with I feel improvements. I

ordered out of Mexico like yourself because I could not find a Neuro

to prescribe it locally. I have not returned to a Neuro since

then. I feel they are almost a waste of time. All the want to do is

offer the ABCR drugs without consideration of the side effects or how

we feel. I think my cognitive problems have improved and I know my

bladder control is much more under control since starting. My

walking has not improved but I don't think it any worse either. I

don't think I could ask for more than I have received so far. I get

my drugs from Medmex and hope they get it back in stock before I need

more. I plan to go back to my second opinion Neuro when I have been

on for a year and let him see that I have areas of improvement and

hope he will then prescribe it for other MS patients that he is

taking care of and then maybe get him to prescribe it for me as well.

Don't lose faith, we can take care of our selves and be support for

each other. I am not one to add a bunch to the group. I read all

the email but don't add allot of my own opinion unless I can see that

it is needed. It sounded that you were a little lost and needed my

input. We can be our own advocates and take care of our selves

without the doctors that can not see the forest for the trees. They

do not understand the side affects are worse the the

disease. Sometimes no medication is better that the side affects of

what they want us to take. I think I have talked in circles long

enough, I hope this helps you with your decisions. It is not horse

poop either or if it is it works.

My nephews doc has him going on an insulin pump soon but was told he

has to take some diabetic classes first. He has been diabetic for

year's and has a lot of trouble with it. I am not sure I would be

excited about using a pump for my insulin.

Ya know, Tom, I think I'm going to do just that. I *am* going to do the MRI's, as I want a clear record of where I am when I start the LDN, then I'll fire them both. Nicely, of course.
