Guest guest
My back is TOTALLY killing me you guys!! Whatever was left of the nerve ablations I had one last fall just totally went caput the day after Christmas, and I have been in pain almost pretty much 24/7 ever since. I know that most of you don't know, probably because it's still hard for me to complain about the things that I just can't change. I've been taking more pain medication, and on a more regular schedule, but it doesn't even feel like it's making the slightest dent in the pain. I've tried so many things...alternating heat and ice, Lidoderm patches, massage, everything I can think of, and nothing works. What I really need is another round of nerve ablations, but since I don't have a job, I have no insurance, and since just started his new job, he doesn't have any insurance either. So now I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place (and they are all resting on my back!). The only options I can think of right now is swallowing my pride and asking one of my parents if I can borrow the money from one of them to get the ablations done, or I can wait until we get our tax refund back. Neither sounds very appealing to me. I know borrowing the money from my parents would be faster, but using the tax refund money would save my pride, even though it would take a lot longer. This truly sucks, but I really, really need those ablations done if I want to function. What I really need is a JOB with good benefits! But of course, I know they aren't going to kick in right away, even if I got a job tomorrow! I just hope I find a way to solve all of this soon! I need a financial windfall of some kind to come my way....well, at least enough to get the ablations done! I sure hope they do them at a lower price if you pay cash! Well, that's my rant, so wish me luck all! I have a feeling I'm going to need all the help and luck, and whatever anyone else sends my way, that I can get! Take care everyone, and I hope your evening is filled with low pain levels! Jen Z.

Oh Jen Z., Can Relate, Hope you have gotten some sort of relief. Can you pay it out at your doctors office? They usually let you especially if they have had you as a patient before but you never know! Well I will keep you in my prayers so I am going to tell you with what you would tell you me, go ahead and borrow the money from your parents, you need to be there for everyone and well enough to fight your pain as much as you can. Let us know how you are. I will write to home account. Bennie
Guest guest
Dear Jen: I am so sorry you are in so much added pain. You do realize that your pride can be far more easily " healed " then your back, right? Get the loan, pay them back with your taxes. I am sure your folks would rather you bend your pride a bit and ask for help then remain in pain and with little functionality for goodness knows how long!! If there is a way for them to help you, and they are able, I see no reason for them not to! I am willing to bet that a great deal of your added pain is still about your added stress of not having found work yet and the general " house bound " feeling all of us that have chronic pain and limited ability have felt at one time or another. I sincerely hope you take the initiative and get something done NOW before things get so far out of control that it takes months to recover. You are a smart and able person, Jen - don't let your pain take that away from you! Just my two cents on the subject! Warm wishes and big (easy) hugs, Tammy S
