Guest guest
Hi cheri Thanks for your reply. I really do know how you feel, Its tough when you feel rough! I felt 'Grey' today for a moment. I awoke at 5am another year older and feeling pretty good. That was 'till a friend text me to wish me 'happy birthday' which I appreciated then came 'your next big one is 40 (35 now) my next big one is 30, wow that made me feel quite a bit 'different'. Had a lovely breakfast in the garden, opening my cards feeling refreshed then another pal came along with a lovely gift. We then decided to give 'Rosie' a nice smartening up. Rosie is my pride and joy, A Motorised Scooter. Ive had her for five years and shes given me such a world of independance. I live in a beautiful little Seaside town in the North East of England called Saltburn. Ive lived here for almost 30 years. My 'difficulties' accelerated 12 years ago. It has been a struggle to be able to walk to the shops and along the promenade. In 1995 I got a big desire for a Motorised Scooter. There's a place that deals in them in the next town. My brother and I took a ride there and I was able to have a ride around the 'assault course'. We went away and had a think about it, and then a week later Steve the salesman brought the one a favoured for a test ride then I got my chequebook out and purchased 'Indepandance' . Ive had five wonderful years of 'freedom'. Ive had frequent surgery to my left knee. Last September I had a Total Knee Repalcement, at the same time I had some repair work done. It was wonderful, I was the best I had been for 12 years. Ive now got further problems, My Ortho is unsure what it is, I am awaiting an exploratory op. Ive now realised that as ive not been able to use Rosie since my TKR and as things are worsening, the bumpy roads are making my unstable knees worse, so ive decided to sell my 'baby'. It may sound like im 'giving in' but I know im not! I can take a Taxi to the shops and manage slowly, to do my messages with the help of crutches and knee braces. I hopefully will be able to manage this way for a long time to come and in the meantime someone in more need can adopt my baby. I hope you are feeling pretty good today Take care Veena
