Guest guest
I called my doc today, his wife is the receptionist... anyway, I told his wife that it was not time for my refill but I needed to talk to the doctor about my meds. She says oh, are they working? I said... No, they aren't covering the pain and my hair is falling out. She asked if I had found out it was the medication and how long I had been on the medication. I told her I had talked to the pharmacist and researched to find that hair loss is a side affect of the Methadone. So she said, Oh No, he will change your medicine for you right away. We can't have that, we don't want any bad side affects when we are trying to help you. :-) Can you come in tomorrow? I have an appointment tomorrow evening, and I have made a list of all the side affects that I have been having. As well as a cost for monthly Oxycontin vs. Oxycontin every 3 months. I also made note that I will let him dispense the medication monthly or count the pills monthly, just so I don't forget to talk to him about that part of his concern. I'll take her rushing me in as a good sign that he will at least try me on something else, if not put me back on the Oxycontin. :-) Now I just have to work on the Teledrug sell. Guest guest
Good for you! I stress to my doctor that the 3-month drug supply is so much CHEAPER than buying it monthly. If you have a good relationship with your doctor, perhaps he *will*l hold the medicine for you and dispense it once a month. Good luck!
