Guest guest
Hi guys, remember a while back when I was questioning ya'll about that thing on my finger that I'd been told was a herbadon (sp) node? I didn't think it was and my dermatologist didn't either. She sent me to hand specialist and it is somekind of tumor. They don't know what kind but it has to come off or out or whatever. Why is it whenever you step foot into an ortho's office you get signed up for surgery?!? He has a long wait for surgery which is fine by me so it won't be til July. I had him check my elbow (he doesn't work on anything past the elbow!!) while I was there cuz I thought I had tennis elbow and have for several years. I was right. I need to wear a wrist splint to encourage not using the wrong muscles so it can heal and if it doesn't, it could need surgery too. Gee, if my " good shoulder " does too, maybe I could just get it all done at the same time. I may have to have a graft on my finger. I think when I asked about how deformed it would look or how it would work he thought I was dense cuz he said the #1 thing was to get the tumor out. It's been there for 2 years or so but has gotten so painful and gross looking. Just ask Sue . SHe saw it at it's finest! Anyway, the morale of this story is if a rheumatologist tells you some bumplike thing on the finger joint is one of those arthritisy nodes.... don't always believe them!!
