Guest guest
This is an inclusive group. To insure that everyone, including our many vision impaired members, can get the most from your posts; please stick to our basic posting rules. Those who do not, will have their posts rejected. If a member consistently does not adhere to the basics, he/she will eventually will be removed from the group by the fed up moderators. 1. Use the enter key and make fairly short paragraphs. Posts with very long paragraphs or no paragraphs will be rejected. They are virtually impossible for people with vision impairments to read. They are even hard for people with good vision to read!. 2. Use real words, not computer short hand. (No plz, u, r, kwim, and the like). Computer shorthand is not recognized by most read aloud computer programs. 3. Don't dot ........... everything, use periods and commas instead. Those dots may look great to you, but they make some people's eyes track inaccurately. Just use normal punctuation. Periods and commas belong where you may have been sticking all those dots. 4. Use capital letters where appropriate, but don't " shout. " (all caps) Besides being considered rude; posts in all caps are very hard for almost anyone to read. 5. Edit/snip the post to which you are replying. This keeps read aloud programs from wading through a bunch of rehashed stuff. It also makes the digests very readable to all who get their CP mail in that form. 6. Political posts and religious posts are not allowed. Not everyone shares your political or religious views. We have members from around the world and from every walk of life. Please remember this when you are posting. If you want to send religious or political posts, send them privately. 7. Read your posts through before sending them and please use your spell checker. Correct the errors that you find. Make sure you've made short paragraphs and that the original post has been snipped. If you haven't done those things, fix them before you send your posts. For complete information, please go to the File section and read All About Posting. Thanks. -- Lyndi Moderator
Guest guest
Thank you, Lyndi for this reminder. I am finding that it is getting harder and harder for me to see what I read, so anything that can help to make it easier, is appreciated. Love and gentle hugs, Debi/So.
