Well, it sounds to me like this doctor needs to be tossed out! I think that

you are right that you might not want to switch while the hearing is

pending. A good thing is that he is noting in your chart that you are

having trouble with basic living. That notation is a good thing for your

hearing at least.

But nothing stops you from “doctor shopping” in the meantime. That way you

will have time to find one who has other patients and experience with your

condition. And to see how their demeanor is with patients and how his staff

works with patients.
