Drop foot is usually corrected by wearing an L shape brace that holds your foot in the L shape. Pete
Guest guest
Hi Martha, My eldest son aged 12 has dropped foot. Its real bad. His foot has not developed properly because of it. He won't wear a splint as we call them here and this had made it much worse. When he's older they will operate on his foot, they have to break the bones first then reset them straight. Six months later they will do a tendon transplant to give his foot some lift. Very painful I'm told. If you need to know any more, mail me. The Mrs ( Joyanne ) and I have had years of this. I had a tendon transplant on my wrist when I was 14, and it was very successful. ( nothing to do with my spine) Well I guess its a case of " Life wasn't meant to be easy " From Marcus drop foot > > >>If you have drop foot, and have ever tripped on your toes, you know >>just what I did. > >Would someone please explain what exactly drop foot is? ...thanks, Martha > >See what's happening for NF2Con 2000! >http://www.home.earthlink.net/~earldillon/nf2convegas2000.html > >
Guest guest
Hi Crew... I have drop foot but I just figured it was from having such HUGE feet for a woman....I put shoes on and some boots and my feet feel like plontoons and there so big I trip over them...I have had weak muscles in my foot and my legs did quit working for awhile and were quite paralized....I did go through physical therapy to walk again,I can walk but my legs and feet are still somewhat weak.I just thought the tripping was from clumsiness from balance and from BIG FEET...A lot of my shoes and boots are size 11:0 yikes!!!! Guest guest
It's alright to have a large shoe size, Lana. Heck, I have a Non-NF2 friend and she wears a size 11. Just take it in stride. It just means there's more to love, that's all! June PS - I hear that guys " dig " kissing their lady friend's feet (do you get my drift? Guest guest
Dear Lana, Not to worry you can get A plastic Braces like device that fits behind the calf of your leg and extends all the way under the ball of your foot & this WILL help ... but keep working those feet keep working them no matter how hopeless t may seem ... because its never hopeless ..... and you can strengthen your anchles and calves and foot muscles .. GOOD LUCK ... no pain no gain ) Hugs Lois from Somerset where the wind is blowing and the temp is chilly BURRrrrrrrrrrr Kizzycom@... wrote: > From: Kizzycom@... > > Hi Crew... > > I have drop foot but I just figured it was from having such HUGE feet for a > woman....I put shoes on and some boots and my feet feel like plontoons and > there so big I trip over them...I have had weak muscles in my foot and my > legs did quit working for awhile and were quite paralized....I did go through > physical therapy to walk again,I can walk but my legs and feet are still > somewhat weak.I just thought the tripping was from clumsiness from balance > and from BIG FEET...A lot of my shoes and boots are size 11:0 yikes!!!! > > Lana in Minnesota > > See what's happening for NF2Con 2000! > http://www.home.earthlink.net/~earldillon/nf2convegas2000.html
