Guest guest
Yup that's how my dishrag dad acted too. jeanie1900 wrote: i keep reading the phrase " dishrag dad " in posts. What does this mean? I take it to mean the " soaker-up " of all the crap. If this is the case, sadly that's the role my Dad played. If my mum became angry, he became angry too. Yet he'd be quite happy until she started. He would frequently tell me " not to worry " about something, and then when my mum got angry with me (which she so frequently did), he would change his mind and become angry with me too! Crazy, crazy behaviour! Jeanie x --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage.
Guest guest
That fits. I always thought it meant they came around and cleaned up nada's messes. Either way, it means they're on nada's " team " ....
Guest guest
That is a new way of defining a 'dishrag dad'. The original meaning on the board was that he is a wimp....not willing to stand up to his wife even when he knows she is wrong. 'dishrag dad' meant a very weak person , devoted to keeping the peace rather than serving what is right. Dee > > That fits. I always thought it meant they came around and cleaned up > nada's messes. Guest guest
A dishrag is an inanimate object that one uses whenever and however they see fit. The dishrag is there only to serve the user.
