Guest guest
I for one can fall asleep if I take 2 aspirins. So when my Dr. gave me three prescriptions (1) Naproxen 500 Mg 2 times a day for inflammation (2) Cyclobenzaprine 10MG 1 time a day for spasms (3)hydrocodone/apap 5mg/500mg 1 time a day I was worried that I would be buzzing because I am taking Paxil 30 mg 1 per day along with my Shynthroid 0.1mg. Well the first day the Naproxen made me tired. The hydrocodone did nothing for me. The Dr. said to take it at bedtime because it will make you dizzy. Well I took it at bedtime and I couldn't fall asleep. I tried the cyclobenzaprine for the spasms and that knock me on my butt. I started the three meds. Last week when I found out I have a pinch nerve in my L-4 regions and also arthritis and scoliosis. These meds are doing nothing for me, my back still hurts like when I first got the pain. Also I thought it would help my knee (August 29) had knee surgery to repair two torn Cartilages and I am in pain from that. I have never taken meds., for the last 33 years of my Chronic pain life. But now being 57 and walking with a cane or a walker I have decided to be on these meds. I go for physical therapy on the 21st, only to be evaluated then will find out when I will go for the treatments. I don't take meds to get a high, I am taking them to get some sleep at night, to be able to sit for more than 20 min or stand for more than 20 min. All I want is this pain to go away. If I was taking meds., that would give me a " buzz " I would not take them. I want to be able to think clearly and know what I am doing. I have a neighbor who thinks I am taking them to get a high I told her I don't. She believes I am. I don't know if this letter makes any sense but I am in pain, all I want is to be pain free, even if it is for 5 min.
