Thank you a.

Unfortunately, I went the wrong route back in 2004 when I got the

virus (and again in '05) because previous to that I had never been to

a doctor except for gynecological stuff. I was the kind of person who

never went to doctors and used to ridicule people who seemed to call a

doctor " at the drop of a hat " -- I also thought my problem was a

toothache, because I had excruciating pain in my tooth at the same

time -- long story but the dentist was going to do a root canal.

I went for a 2nd opinion to a TMJ specialist because I knew I had jaw

problems from that injury, and she said I didn't need a root canal,

that the problem was TMJ, and then we went off in that direction and

nobody ever evaluated the virus. I think I caught a foreign virus

either in Europe, or the Caribbean, or on the plane. But

unfortunately I didn't go to a doctor. I was tested for Lyme a year

later, because I'm always out in the woods & cuddling with my dogs,

but it came back negative. I heard that Lyme tests often come back

negative and there's a certain way they're supposed to be taken which

not every dr/lab does.

I've thought about a sleep study, but just haven't gone and done it.

I'm sleeping better now with the Trazadone, which I take at bed time.

I'm up to 6 - 6 1/2 hours a night without waking, which is remarkable

for me. I was waking up 15-20 times a night for a while there. Or

sleeping 4 hours only and then wide awake and then exhausted during

the day. That's improved dramatically since starting the Trazadone.

Thank you for your support, I'm sure I'll learn a lot from the

group.

Have you consulted with an infectious disease specialist about

the " weird " virus you contracted?

I also think that a sleep study might be in order.
