Guest guest
, you've made many good points in your email. There are many reasons a person may not respond, one is the size of this group. Can you imagine if everyone answered every email? WOW! Yes, it's best not to take it personal. The moderators do try to answer and welcome new members but they are only human. I don't think anyone on this group has been deliberately ignored. I would suggest a person to just keep writing. I think you are a brave soul to bring this subject up. I know I lurk a lot. Sometimes just don't feel up to writing. judy >Its not personal if you have not recieved any repsonses to your post. >

We four moderators are all living with some pretty severe chronic pain. For me, as a moderator, sometimes when I finish clearing posts, I'm plain old too tired to type anything else. Sometimes I'll think, " oh I'd like to answer that one! " and I do. Other times, I'm just too tuckered to send the response that I'd wanted to send. When a person joins a group, it's best if they just jump in and get their feet wet by getting involved in the ongoing " conversations. " If any member (old or new) expects that people will respond consistently to whatever they write, they are in for a very big let down. Groups, whether for an illness, a hobby, or anything else, are much the same. Not every post is going to get a response every time. That's just the way of the net. -- Lyndi
Guest guest
I have been a member for some time and I too am guilty of reading a great deal of the material, but not posting or responding all that much. Often times our members just don't feel up to sitting at the computer and answering a post, even though they may sympathize with the writer and get some help from their thoughts. I too would suggest you don't take it personally. I have found this to be a wonderful caring group of people, who can understand our problems we face. Usually there are plenty of responses and Christmas is always a time when many people in chronic pain feel worse and/or get away from their computer for awhile.
