Hi Amy Welcome to the group. I had endometriosis too, and it can certainly take over your life. I wasn't actually diagnosied until I was 30. By then I had already had my 2 children, and so I chose to have a hysterectomy. That, of course is a woman's last choice. Have you tried birth control pills, or the depo birth control shot? Either of those should calm it down. One very nice thing about the depo shots, is that you won't have a period at all. The injections are every 3 or 4 months. Wouldn't it be fantastic, not to have a period? Anyone with endometriosis knows that the cramps are horribly severe. You can feel sick for a week before your period, and a week afterwards. This doesn't leave much time to feel normal. Guest guest
--- Hi Amy nice to meet you. I'm Jenifer. I have endometrosis too. I have found that the laporoskopys help for a while then about 6 months later it is once agin unbearable! Naproxen is really good for the pain and a good heating pad at night while sleeping! The only thing that truely helps is having children it will some day get better keep up on your doc visits. I know what your feeling its horrible and can get pretty depressing for a woman of your age but we are all on your side here!
