Guest guest
Hi, I sent my reports away to Dr. Curlin. I got a letter back saying He could do it. He is not very personable with people. Everything is via letters with him. I found that very hard. So I didn't choose him. Donna Lay - In Florida. jmouse73 wrote: Maybe someone can help me out here. We have finally saved up the money for the tr, been told I'm a great candidate and done semen analysis etc., the trouble now is choosing the dr. I have heard wonderful things about Dr.L as well as a Dr. Berger in NC. Is anyone familiar with Dr.Curlin in TN? Plus a local dr. here in Dallas, a husband/wife team of Dr.s Doody. How did you decide? We have gotton this far now I am terrified about making the wrong Dr decision.
Guest guest
, I have had contact with both Dr. Levin and Dr. Berger. I have not had my reversal yet but all ready know that Dr. Levin is the one for me. He takes the time to reply to you personally, where as Berger goes through his nurses. I mean there is nothing wrong with that but sometimes it is more reassuring hearing from the Doctor himself. I have talked to Dr. Levin on the phone and in person. You couldn't ask for a more wonderfully caring person. The only thing I can advise you with Dr. Berger is that he has had a tremendous amount of blocked tubes lately. THIS can happen to even the best doctor, but out of 10 people I know and have personal contact with 8 have blocked tubes and will have to redo the surgery. They had surgery with Dr. Berger. Just weigh your options very carefully. I would also advise you to ask each doctor what their policy is for a follow up procedure if the first one fails. Just make sure to cover all bases. I have sent my report to Dr. Curlin, and I had falope rings. He told me that he could not reverse my ligation. Falope rings are the best type to reverse. I am not sure how he makes his decision on which person is a good candidate. I do not know anything about the Dr.s there. I have heard the names but knew I couldn't travel that far to have the reversal. Sorry to have written a book. I hope this helps you some. If you need to talk privately just let me know. You can email me any time. rnickell@... Just put something catchy in the subject line. I receive around 1000 emails a day and wouldn't want to miss any. Love and prayers to ya, Moe Re: How to decide?? > > Hi, I sent my reports away to Dr. Curlin. I got a letter back saying He could do it. He is not very personable with people. Guest guest
Not all DR's charge the same. I found they varied greatly. There is one that does it in Mexico for under $2000 and I have also had quotes for up to $20,000 and everywhere in-between. Check out the dr's well. There was a list floating around that had questions to ask but I am not sure where. in MI Re: How to decide?? i to want to have a tr done got to save the cash do all the dr. charge the same about??does any no if ones better then the other?? Guest guest
No not all doctors charge the same. Some are really high. Usually the ones that only perform one or two of these procedures a year. You would be amazed. some charge in excess of $20,000.00 for the surgery. My personal opinion is Yes some doctors are better then others. It just depends on what you are looking for in a doctor. Do your research well and ask plenty of questions. I have contacted 4 different doctors and have made the decision to use Dr. Levin. I can tell you my reasons if you would like to hear them. The other doctors I contacted were, Dr. Curlin, Dr. Berger and one in my town. Dr. Levin Rocks though, in my opinion Love ya, Moe Re: How to decide?? > i to want to have a tr done got to save the cash do all the dr. charge the > same about??does any no if ones better then the other?? > > >

Guest guest
I was also in contact with Dr. Berger and his staff. Never with him. I did recieve a form letter though with his stamp on it. However his office did send me the tr teversal video of a surgery he did on the Discovery or medical channel and it was very informative. I have a leading dr in this area 80 miles from home, Dr.'s B & L are both over 1000 miles from me. I chose Dr. L. > > I want to use Dr Berger. Can anyone tell me anything > > about him? Guest guest
Hi, Moe. Can you tell me why you choose Dr. Levin. And what you thought of Dr. Curlin? Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Donna L, I chose Dr. Levin because of his caring attitude. I have had both a phone consult and in office consult with him. He is so friendly and didn't make me feel like a fool for wanting to have my tubes untied. He listened to me, took time to answer me and never rushed me at all. He even now still puts up with me. I can email him and receive an aswer, and have been talking with him for over 4 years. That is how long it has been since I started looking into the reversal. He tells it to you straight. He will tell you point blank if there is no chance of a successful reversal. You just have to meet him or talk to him. He is AWESOME. He calls me Moe and not Ramona which I like. He makes you feel comfortable and at ease with everything. He is great. I love the personal touch he shows and to me he cares about every woman who comes in contact with him. He is more concerned about them, then the idea of making a buck. Dr. Curlin, I have never met or spoken with. I called his office and then sent them my report. He sent me a form letter back telling me that I have absolutely no chance whatsoever of having a successful reversal. He has several conditions that you must meet before he will do the surgery as well. However, I found it hard to believe that he couldn't do my reversal, because I only have falope rings or bands. They are the easiest to reverse and have the best outcome. My personal opinion is this: If he thinks there is the least chance that the reversal won't be a success he won't operate on you. I believe this is to keep his percentage of high positive outcomes, high. I hope that sounds right. He wants to be sure that it is going to be successful so as not to lower his success rate. I am not saying he isn't a good doctor because I have no idea. I have never had contact with him. I guess too, alot of the reason that I chose Dr. L is because he is accessible to his patients. You can call and he will talk to you personally or call you back. You can email and he personally emails you back. I just find that more personable. I think it shows that he cares about each patient. Sorry I wrote a book on this. It is a hard decision to make. But I wouldn't trade Dr. L for any of the other doctors in the world. Even if I had to pay him $20,000 and another doctor would do it Free. I would have no one else do the surgery. I fully trust Dr. L. Love ya, Moe Re: How to decide?? > > > > i to want to have a tr done got to save the cash do all the dr. charge the > > same about??does any no if ones better then the other?? > > > > > >
