Guest guest
Hello Debi, I too was turned down the first time I had applied for Social Security Disability insurance. I have chronic degenerative disc disease in my Cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.neuropathis nerve pain to all extremities.Osteophytes, a fancy word for bone spurs in the spinal cord and the thecal sac. I've had quite a few broken vertabrea over the years, especially in nineteen nity five, the year of my injury due to getting knocked off " I " beams from one building onto the roof of another building. That hurt. Now, I'm going through what most in my position are going through. Much more difficulty walking without severe pain. The good news, physical therapy has helped me to walk again( I couldn't walk for a year and a half after accident) without the use of a cane, although I can not walk as much as I was a few years ago. But I'll get there again. The important thing, no matter how badly you feel, you care get and feel better. Maybe not cured, but the mental aspect of our pain symptoms can be improved with the right medications. Last year, I was contemplating suicide, almost did it too. The reason? undiagnosed chronic cervical spine pain, it was a day and night painful problem. Notice I said was? I am now taking the maximum dose of Gabapentin, Vicodin high potency, prednisone, and am using a lidoderm patch for pain relief at specific areas on my neck and shoulder, the back too. Sorry for the long winded email, but you are correct, get a lawyer and get all of your medical records together, the doctors can not refuse to give them to you. Although, you may have to pay a per page fee, the lawyer may pay for that fee. Take care and try to relax, let the lawyer do the work for you. / New York
