Either your doctor needs to get up to date on the fibro research or you need to find a different doctor. My fibro was diagnosed in the early 1960's, when I was 10 or 11 years old. The name fibromyalgia didn't exist back then. First the docs called what I had rheumatism, then they changed their diagnosis to fibrostitis. It wasn't until the 1990's that they started calling it fibromyalgia.
