Guest guest
Hi~ I have been withdrawing from Zoloft for what seems like forever now. All has gone well. I’ve done much better since I started making a titration, it gives me better control of being exact in my cuts. My question today is; what is the minimum about of time I can wait between cuttings? With the 10% cuts I’ve been making I usually only have 1-2 days of vivid dreams after each one. I’ve been waiting 4-5 days between, but I’m wondering if I can make this shorter? At this rate it’s going to take me 4 more months to get off this crap!!! I’ve gained over 50 lbs since going on it and I’m anxious to get my body back! Thanks, Angel
Guest guest
** Angel, I wouldn't advise it. In fact, you will most likely find that you're going too quickly right now. There will be like a snowball effect at some point. It's not about time or weight; it's about not giving yourself worse brain damage than the drug has already caused. Guest guest
So is 5 days enough then? Should I be waiting longer? My body seems to be dealing fine, but I certainly don't want to see myself in a mess!!! I have 4 children who stay home w/ me...they rely on me daily for their care. I can't be falling apart. I just simply don't have the time! Thanks, Angel ** Angel, I wouldn't advise it. In fact, you will most likely find that you're going too quickly right now. Guest guest
So far I've been tapering for over a year and expect to be at it for another year. It does get old, *but* it is so worth it to protect our already fragile health and to give ourselves the best shot at having a healther future. We're all in the same boat--small cuts, stablizing each time. Just keep rowing, we'll all get to the shore eventually...safely. Guest guest
I'm completely on board for doing this slowly, its just that I've been tapering longer than I was on it! I'm having other health problems due to the weight gain. No amount of exercise is helping to lose the weight. I've eaten an organic/whole foods diet for years now. Never had a problem before the Zoloft Angel Re: Time between cuts So far I've been tapering for over a year and expect to be at it for another year. Guest guest
I was on it 7 mos and have been withdrawing for 7 mos. I was waiting 2-3 weeks between decreases before going to the titration. After starting the titration I didn’t have any withdrawal symptoms other than the 1-2 nights of super vivid dreams. My highest dose was 75 mg. I’m not sure where I am now? I am dissolving 25mg in 10ml of water and drawing off 7.2ml Not sure how to figure out how many mg that is? I’ve been doing the titration w/ 10% decreases for about 2+ months now. At first I waited 2 weeks, then a week then went down to 3-5 days between each decrease as I wasn’t having any symptoms. Angel Re: Re: Time between cuts <<So is 5 days enough then? Guest guest
Hi D, Thanks for sharing your message of hope and patience with the tapering process. I am glad I went slowly, too, because I am mostly okay now. I think my body is still adjusting, but I am okay. anchorhope7 wrote: So far I've been tapering for over a year and expect to be at it for another year.
