Guest guest
Hi, I have a compressed L5D1 disc with nerve involvement in the butt and left leg. I have had cortisone steroid, both by mouth and epidural. The epidural made it so bad that I was in the ER the same evening. I currently am taking 600mg of Neurontin and 20mg Oxycontin ER for pain. I am also housebound as I can not sit or drive. I found just recently how important it is to keep moving. The spine needs exercise for blood flow. I walk one mile a day - physical therapy did not help. I wear my TENS 24/7, even though you are not suppose to wear it while sleeping. It is very important to have a good TENS unit. The people who have tried cheap ones have been very disappointed. My unit is wonderful. I use a lot of ice packs. All of these self treatments have reduced my pain about 30% - but no cure. I am going to my spine doctor in a few days to discuss next steps. You are not alone, but I haven't found any more help yet. The pain is relentless. > > hi there, i am a new member. i was diagnosed with a severe ruptured > lower disc with some back pain. i kept working for 10 months before i
