Guest guest
Hi Deb, I think it's a good idea to be prepared in any case. I don't know if a doctor would be willing to give certain medications out as a just in case. But, my doctor's do give me enough to have for about a month at a time. I watch a lot of the History and Discovery Channels. So, I watch Survivorman and Man vs. Wild. Thanks to those two survivor specialists, I have learned how to survive different situations. I have watched their programs more than once just to make sure the advice is pounded into my head. Also, we live in a tornado prone area. Not but three weeks after we arrived here, there was a tornado that hit the base. It was only on the ground for two seconds, but it was enough for me to learn that we need to be prepared for a tornado. I have learned what to do if a tornado comes to my area. So, I moved all my animals and myself into the center room of our house which is the laundry room. Our bathroom is on the edge of our house making it easier to be damaged. After the tornado hit, even though it didn't hit anything but a field, I bought some items to be prepared. I bought some emergency candles, matches, etc., just to be prepared for next season. We keep a battery operated radio in the laundry room, extra batteries, and some first aid items as well. We have done a bit more than I have explained here, but I will cut this short now that I have written a novel lol. Love, Becky in SD
