Guest guest
Soupy, It must be something about Southwest Missouri and spinal stenosis! LOL. I have some of the same diagnosis you have. Also I've not found people to be rude or anything to me either. Even when I mention having the hepatitis c and starting symptoms of cirrhosis. Some people still think of it as a druggie or alcohol problem but I talk freely about it and I believe it puts others at ease. (My biggest problem is putting off getting out of the house until we absolutely need something because it is such a pain, and I mean that literally, to get out and go anywhere.) Same here. I always loved to go shopping if I had a dime to spend, not anymore, it just hurts too much. I usually go twice a month if I can't persuade someone else to do it for me. The last of November when I saw my doctor and told him about my joint pains being as bad as my back pain, He gave me a cortisone shot in my hip, not the joint, the butt. It has helped my knees and ankles tremendously. The swelling and warmth has gone away. I have no idea how long it will last but I no longer wake myself in the night crying from the pain. And yes stress does increase the pain. Good talking at you. Judy from Springfield, Mo.
