Good job, Akiba; I do not understand why the list is so quiet; used to

be the largest and most active list for MS around. Are we ALL having episodes at the same time? Makes one wonder! Love to

you and to all at MSersLife--I miss Challis, too, though! Love,

n

Ok

Ok all Y'all this list is being WAAYY too quiet...So I'll *ahem* chime in...

Remember Dr horsepoop? Well I fired him. Meantime, he had ordered some tests for me (which his secretary neglected to tell me about). I cancelled the MRI's and called the Dr's office and cancelled him. Apparently he had also ordered a sleep study, which I *do* need, so when the hospital called~because they had an earlier date for it (that is when/how I found out about it) and they told me that since I had fired Dr Horsepoop they would not be able to do it, but if I got another Dr to order it they would do it, and the would keep the earlier date open for me...I proceeded to call the other Neuro, the one I've gone to for the Last year, and I told the receptionist what I wanted (him to order the study anew) and why. She asked, logically, who had initially ordered it. I said another Dr had. She asked who, I said he will remain nameless. She asked what field he was in, I said the same as Dr Varga. She said there is only one other in that field locally, I said, yes here is. And I said I fired him. She said Why? I said because he is an insensitive, unfeeling moron who got his medical license from the dollar store. I thought she was going to choke. I haven't heard sounds like that from someone who either didn't have a medical emergency or was not having the big *O*. And I assume she was not having either. At least I hope so...right there in the office????? About a hour later she called again to say they had faxed the order for the sleep study over.

Ok...that's that...

Peace and Blessings

Good luck with the sleep study. Mine was fun. The technition looked

like Igor. He even draged one of his feet and slumped a bit. I

learned a lot about how I sleep. The worst part was it did take a few

days to get all the glue out of my hair. I have apnea and do the APAP

(Automatic Positive Airway Pressure)thing every night. I wouldn't

trade it for anything.

I've wanted to have one for years, I KNOW I have apnea, as did my father. I know it can shorten one's life and I want to live as long as I can...for my son, for my husband, and for me!

I'll probably end up with one of those horrid machines, if it helps, it helps...might not do much for snuggling though...

The test if scheduled for April 27th, I'll letchall know (I think I just invented a word!)

Peace and Blessings

You go girl!!! That's that almost made me tinkle!! I remember when I wanted to fire my doctor. It's very hard to do that when the doctor you're seeing is on of the most well known Dr.'s is the state. Not only is a neurologist, she also works for workman's comp., and the Disability administration. I wanted to stop going to her because, she didn't seem to really have my best interest at heart. I felt that I wasn't being heard. She wasn't taking the time to listen to my complaints. It's like she wanted to tell me what I was feeling and not feeling. She, in fact was the reason why I stayed in denial for so long. Actually, if I were to be truthful, I'd have to say, I just didn't have the gumption to stand up to her.

Well, she is again my doctor. Not because that's what I wanted, but I just didn't have a choice. Thank goodness, I spoke to enough people and doctors, that word got out. She now treats me in a whole new way. That's the good thing. But now if I want to see her, she demands the money up front. (Not her usual manner.)

Oh well, I guess you gotta take the good with the bad. Or, is that the bad with the good?

I'm glad you're getting the tests that you needed. Maybe you'll have better luck this time. Blessed Be...

I love my cpap machine! I've had it since 1997,

probably needed it before then. It just sounds like a

fan--white noise. Not a pretty thing to wear, but my

daughter and my cats are all fine with it. It allows

me to sleep at night, so it's worth it.

That's great! And that's why I am doing the sleep study, I am doing it for me, so I can finally rest at night, for my son so his Mommy will be here to see him into adulthood, and for my poor long-suffering husband who has had to listen to me for almost ten years! I know I refer to them as "horrid machines" but only because they're bulky and from what I've heard, fairly noisy, and I do not relish the idea of spending the remainder of my nights hooked up to one...How do you change position freely? I can't even wear nightclothes they bother me so...How am I going to be able to adapt to it? And I'm pretty sure they're going to want to put me on one...I just hope my insurance will pay for it!

Peace and Blessings

One motel asked me not to return. A nurse at the local hospital askedme to quit snoring beccause I was keeping everybody on my wing awake.I set records at the sleep lab for volume. But not anymore.

Yeah, funny how some Dr's think D-O-C-T-O-R is somehow spelled G-O-D. Dr horsepoop was one of them. I AM glad for the sleep study, though. And happy that Dr Varga ordered it for me, so I'll be off to make the Hospital shake on the 27th!
