Guest guest
I just need to vent and cry!! I don't know what to do or where to go from here! I posted a while ago: MRI Report, so you all have probably read what my issues are. Well, things are worse! Since then, I feel I have been lied to by my Neurologists staff, HE WAS NOT ON VACATION! They also tried to say that I broke my pain contract with them because I had my script filled at another pharmacy, out of state! They were the ones who authorized it!!! I went on my first vacation in 3+ years and my back went " out " on me! I called the office from land, I live in Michigan, and told them what had happened. At that time I was only taking 1 vicodin 750 every 6 hours along with Soma 3x/day. The nurse there verbally authorized an ok to take 2 until I could get back in to see them. When I got back 3 weeks later (My husband flew home, we drove there 12 hours each way) because he HAD to get back to work and I needed help with my 2 year old. I got another script for my meds then, the next time I needed my meds, I was told that I had broken the pain contract LUDICROUS! THEY WERE THE ONES WHO AUTHORIZED A REFILL IN MARYLAND!!! THEY CALLED THE PHARMACY THERE!!! Anyhow, my family Dr got a hold of my Neurosurgeon and when I talked to him and told him what was going on he said " that is ridiculous " ! He told me to be in his office the next day, a.m. and when I got there, the one that started this whole thing had her head down then asked me if I was upset with her! Anyhow, I picked up my script and when I looked at it found they switched my meds to Tylox, which does not work for me! I have been taking it for 3 weeks now and my pain is increasing rapidly! It is a higher does of pain medication I know this but it doesn't work! Oxycodone has never reacted well with my system! It also has never kept my pain at bay. I didn't need to have my meds changed as far as " type " I just needed to be able to take 2, instead of 1 every 6 hours. Oh goodness, it is such a long story! I JUST WANT TO CRY! I was only taking. AT MOST, 8 tabs/day along with the 3 soma and I was at least able to " function " I have been trying to get this info to my doctor for these past weeks!! You should have heard the girls in his office point the fingers at each other as to what happened when I was in land. One girl told me she had no idea about it, and it was the office manager that told her that I had broken the pain contract, then I had another tell me that the 1st girl was the one who had called in the scrip to the pharmacy in land (the one who had NO IDEA!) then the office manager told me that she wasn't the one who said that, it was another girl and so on! Anyway, I can't believe a word they say anymore! I have asked to speak to my Dr. and would they leave a message? They all know what my calls are about and NOW. I get a call saying that Dr says my MRI " looks great " but he want me to go in for a cervical and thoracic MRI. I said this doesn't make sense, why am I in so much pain? I asked about the switching of my meds and she (a person I have spoke to REPEATEDLY about my concerns) said he didn't say anything about it and she didn't know anything about it to have asked him!!! ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!! Last friday, his office manager sent me into the ER for pain control and told me to tell them that I was sent there by them and to have them page my NS! They did nothing for me other than after repeated questioning and 2 1/s hours later, a shot of morphine! No help! WHAT CAN I DO????? I JUST WANT TO CRY AND GIVE UP!!! I can understand if I were asking for a stronger med but I am not, I am only asking for what I know works for me and my system!! I got the girls in his office in trouble and I think it is being taken out on me now!! This just doesn't make sense to me!!! The worst part - THIS IS JUST A BRIEF SYNOPSIS!!!!
