Guest guest
Hi All, I'm a new member here. Although I've been living with chronic pain for 35 years I have not done as much research as contibutors to this group. I expect to learn a lot! My experience with pain meds has been as " TG " described in her post. Early on I developed a tolerance to pain medications that led me to the point of addiction. My Physician referred to it as " tachyphyllaxis " . I was forced to find a narcotic-free alternative for dealing with my pain. For the past fifteen years I have been using acupuncture with only OTC anti-inflammatories. A change in life style was also required with particular attention given to keeping emotional stress out of daily life. This has worked for me. I am never pain free, but can function without a clouded mind. Regards to all, Bill S
