Guest guest
Hi Folks: I saw my original neurologist on Tuesday. This is the wonderful guy who first dxed me with MS. I had to stop seeing him years ago due to my insurance at the time stopping coverage for him. Anyway it was wonderful to see him again as he's so kind and caring. I have been having terrible leg pain that keeps me from sleeping. It hurts during the day too but I just can't sleep through the pain... Overall I've had increased involvement with my arms and hands as well as my legs. He wants me to have a new brain MRI as well as a nerve conduction on my legs. ANYWAY--- The doc said it's neurogenic spasms and started me on Baclofen. The first night I took just a half of a 10 mg. tablet and I was able to sleep for the first time in weeks. The second night I took the half tablet but within an hour took the other half. The third night I took a 10 mg. tablet. The first and second night I had enough relief that I could sleep well. But the third night I woke up several times from the pain, but was able to go back to sleep. If you are on Baclofen how much do you take? The neuro said I can take 1 or 2 of the 10 mg. tablets at night. hugs) Sharon Sharon (MSersLife creator/owner) “One minute it's a giant cabbage and the next, ka-boom!
