Guest guest
I take Centrum multivitamin and multimineral supplement. I almost never get a cold or a viral infection. Almost. Because I do have cystic fibrosis and other conditions, I must be treated for those, but not cold, viruses, or attacks of influenza, and I cannot even take the flu shots as I am aller gic to egg yolks, from which the injection solution is made. Now, I call that a very tough autoimmune response going on! Love to all of you, n Vitamins, Minerals, Supplements -- what do you take? What supplements do you take? How much a day? What difference has it made for you? How many of you here takes Vitamin C or Ecinachea? Or any other supplements that boost the immune system? If you took it in the past I would like to know if you had any bad experiences with it. Research tells us we shouldn't take any immune boosters because our immune systems are overactive already but I would be interested in your own personal views and experiences. Guest guest
Sharon, I have not had a cold or virus in years. Pretty amazing since I work with special needs elementary schoolers. I don’t take any supplements or vitamins. I do eat lots of fruit and veggies. Guest guest
Hi Sharon, You know me and my supplements. I have always thought it best to enhance my immune system rather than suppress it. I have been taking Vit. "C" along with many other immune enhancing supplements for over 20 years. I have not been sick or had a cold in more than five years ( Thankfully ). I have also been taking LDN for almost 3 years. No other drugs and am doing very well. Regards, Tom Vitamins, Minerals, Supplements -- what do you take? What supplements do you take? How much a day? Guest guest
Mine isn't as extensive as Akibas, but it is close!!! I have two large pill divider thingys that I make up -- a month at a time -- one for the morning and one for night. Just made up my pills today in fact... I sometimes wonder how much good all that stuff does. I did used to take Echinecea, but quit when I was dx'd with MS. I rarely if ever get a cold, the flu, or anything like that. Again, its that good old immune system.... Guest guest
Valene, this is the real tragedy of being disabled at a relatively young age, that is, before 65! One lacks the funds to care fully for one's self-- helps to be on SSDI, and SSI through Social Security. Still leaves me far poorer fianancially than the proverbial "church mouse!"
