Guest guest
A lot of things over time have been deemed on the fringes of medicine, only to later find that they are of benefit. Anyone still remember when chiropractic treatments were still considered " alternative medicine " , and insurance wouldn't touch it? How about massage therapy, or acupuncture? Some progressive insurance companies now cover one or the other, or both, and a lot of them cover integrative medicine, a combination of alternative and allopathic medicine. As for craniosacral therapy, I learned from my old massage therapist that they actually have to take additional classes to be certified to perform CS, and for the most part, use it as an adjunct therapy to their regular massage therapy routine. However, I'd willingly pay for just CS alone, because I think it's great. It's a different and personal experience for everyone, but all have agreed that they loved it. Of course, mine comes at the end of a great, pain relieving Ortho-Bionomy session, so it's like a little treat waiting at the end, but I still never know what it's going to be like. Sometimes it's very relaxing and soothing, and I'm ready for a nap afterwards, and sometimes it's very invigorating, and I'm all jazzed up and feel like I'm ready to take on the world. Either way though, I always feel better after having both done! Now, keep in mind, this is only MY opinion, and I'm just a regular person. I also tend to lean towards alternative treatments for a lot of things, especially when it comes to anything to do with antibiotics! I think I have taken them " maybe " 2 times since my body was so damaged by Levaquin 4 years ago. I know definitely at least once, but I will do anything to get around taking them! Again, just my 2 cents, Jen Z.
