Nausea med/Becky

I take compazine as well because my migraines make me severely nauseous. I

already have a problem keeping weight on and have no appetite because of my back

pain. The problem is that I usually end up throwing up the compazine as well

when I have a migraine. When it does stay down, it knocks me out. (I guess

that's not a bad thing with a severe migraine, though. It's not like I can do

anything else.)

Someone else I know with migraines recently told me that they make a suppository

version of compazine, so if you might want to try that. I know I'll be looking

into it because once I start vomiting, I sometimes end up in the ER for an IV

because that's the only way to stop it.

Hey Everyone

I also have severe migraines and it

seems I am nauseated or throwing up most of the time.

It gets so bad sometimes that I just take plastic bags

in the car and in my purse as I take the kids everywhere.

I usually take promethazine or if I can't

keep that down there is a medicine called ondasetron.

It is used a lot with chemotherapy patients or

pregnant women. It dissolves in your mouth so you can

actually get it in your system. It works pretty well,

but is fairly expensive. Definitely ask your doctor.

There are a variety of medicines that you can take.

The only thing worse than pain is throwing up on top

of being in pain.

Good luck
