Guest guest
Hello and welcome. I'm very sorry for all of the problems that you are having and especially all of the pain. I know what it feels like to be in pain for 24/7. The pain meds only seem to dull it for a little while, but it never goes away. I have MS and regardless of what some people have heard it is a very painful and horrible disease. Do to demyelination in my spine I have severe nerve damage so my back and legs are in constant pain. I'm sorry to have went on about myself but I know what you mean about needing a little sympathy once in a while. I just want you to know that you are in my prayers and thoughts. I truly feel for you and your pain. I probably can't be much help with any questions you might have but I'm and excellent listener and an even better sympathizer. Take care. I'll be praying Carol (OK)
Guest guest
Welcome Carin! And to you and all the others: I just had a chiro treatment to help me with my upper/lower back pain - - it doesn't cure my problem because it doesn't stay " in " but for only a couple days, but at least it helps me feel better for a little while, and helps me emotionally feel like " Humpty Dumpty is put back together again. " It also makes me stiff and sore, though, so I'll have a few sore days, so I hurt no matter what. I take Elavil, Neurontin and Voltaren for my pain, as it seems to be a little arthritis related. Hope everyone has as stress-free as possible holiday season!
Guest guest
" In short, I am a mess, and I am frustrated and sad and feeling alone, all though I am a 54 year old woman who will be married 25 years in January. I am hoping to find at least some sympathy with this group, as well as glean any helpful information I can find. " Hi Carin, Boy, I know how you feel. I am so sorry for your pain. I'm also a 54yr old woman, and although my dear loving husband has been very sympathetic, pain is just so personal. It truely is something we have to go through all alone. After reading many of the posts here, it is apparent that pain comes in many forms, but we're all ultimately taking that journey alone. How often I've said the words " I'm a mess " or " I just can't take this anymore " and the ever popular " I'm at the end of my rope " . Well, we're still here, still hurting, but reaching out for sympathy and a little fellowship. There's always a little more rope, isn't there? I guess we believe that there is something worth the effort. Something as simple and as profound as friendship in pain can be meds for the soul. Guess what that makes us? Optimists! And that, Carin, makes me smile. So, from one hurting optimist to another, welcome.
Guest guest
Hi, Carin I'm 54, I have had chronic pain of one kind or another ever since I started have my periods, when I was 9 years old, I also suffered regularly from chronic bronchitis, starting from an early age. By my 20's it became fibromyalgia and TMJ and I got progressively worse with other things. This is a great group. so I hope that you enjoy it and get what you need from it. Love and gentle hugs, Debi/So. Cal.-
