Guest guest
I've posted before about DD8's sperm donor coming back to haunt us....this is just an update. I consulted with an attorney yesterday through CAASA (Centers Against Abuse and Sexual Assault) and she says since we have documented violence against us by her dad that we are covered under a Family Violence Exclusion (FEDERAL LAW) which will mean that the child support office will not even be able to give him even our p.o. box address, no matter what any Iowa judge orders. Also, because of the abuse, we'll qualify to work with legal services on the visitation petition and they told me to relax..with his pleading guilty to what he did to me when I was pregnant, along with this new two counts of child endangerment charge with his child with his wife and his history of alcohol abuse, she thinks that he'll drop the entire thing once he knows they are involved. I think she's right. I'll bet his lawyer doesn't even know what all he's done because he's gotten court-appointed lawyers for his crimes. I am so thankful we didn't have to end up paying an attorney over this. And thankful that God is taking care to protect myself and my dear daughter. He is good and faithful to those who love Him. __________________________________________________

Guest guest
--Hi ikf@h, I'll only touch one as well, I had no edema spilling 10 grams of protein pre-prednisone severe edema spilling 12 grams of protein on prednisone now. So, I'm not sure if the proteinuria going up an additional two grams caused my ankles to swell like they have, or if it's the prednisone. My guess is that it is the prednisone, because my face, knee's and abdomen, are all swollen as well. prednisone causes sodium and fluid retention and so does nexium which is also prescribed along with it many times. who knows. I hope it isn't the proteinuria, because I want it to go away even if I go off prednisone. How much protein are you spilling? lukblivs - In iga-nephropathy@y..., " ingridkfriberg " <ikf@h...> wrote: > I'm only going to touch on one. Guest guest
I was spiling 8g at first, then the prednisone brought it down to 4, and now I'm at about 0.5g. It took three months though to see the change. Also, my face didn't start swelling until after three months, and just now (on 5mg/day) am I starting to see a decrease in that swelling. And the edema has n ot come back at all. So even with the nasty side effects(you can see some of my other posts/complaints), it is definitely working for me. ingrid > > > Hi all, > > > > > > I was the person a while ago who had tendonitis (not joint pain) > > that > > > suddenly came on in a bunch of places, unrelated to sports > injury. > > > I'm > > > now seeing a rheumatologist along wih my nephrologist. Guest guest
I just want to say that the reason my neph put me on the prednisone was because my biopsy was bad. I had the crescents (I don't remember the percent) and everything and the pathologist wrote specifically on the report that s/he felt that I was going to progress to renal failure quickly based on what s/he saw. My nephrologist didn't want to take any chances.
