Jeff:

It is perfectly normal to not want to wear a hearing aid of any kind,

especially when you are young like yourself. I was told that an aid would

help me when I was a teenager, but I wouldn't be caught dead with one of

those things in my ear back then! LOL

I started wearing a bi-cros at 22 yrs. old because I didn't have a choice.

(I am now 43.) I can't funtion without an aid and a bi-cros helps even more!

Someone on the list mentioned that with a bi-cros you cannot tell from what

direction the sound is coming from. This statement is correct, but, hey!

atleast I can still hear! :o)

So, don't worry Jeff, your feelings are perfectly normal. You will know

when you are ready to accept an assistive listening device!

Sherry

This can be useful... you know I don't see me right now (19 years old)

>with a bi-cros to hear... you meet new people everytime and you don't want that

>they know you are deaf in one ear, Is it normal that I feel like that? or

>should I feel differently?
