Peg,

I'm still on pins and needles on the new job. There were 17 applications

for the job of which only 2 came within the agency. The application

deadline was July 5th and the gal that is responsible for rating the

applications was away at training from July 8 thru July 12 then away on

vacation. She'll be back working on the 22nd. What a wait. Still at the

same address & phone.

Last week we spent a few days in Overland Park, KS (Kansas City) visiting

my sister and family. We had a great time.

Tell that son-in-law of yours he needs to make 'good tasting' sandwiches

rather than those that seem to attract skunks. That poor daughter of yours

and the skunk smell and for that matter their house.

Hi Mike,

Sorry we didn't get in touch with you when we were in Iowa we're

really running a lot. We went to the Cubs game on Saturday - boring

game. Hardly anyone got on base and Cubs lost. Sunday they won but I

wouldn't have wanted to go on Sunday man it was so hot and humid we

didn't even go outside. There was one time Sosa had the bases loaded

and it could have been really exciting but he struck out. In fact

the only time he got on base was when the pitcher hit him with the

ball. After the game we headed out to Sabula IA.

Now we are in Sycamore IL at my son's house. Last night we went to

some friends house for dinner and that was really great. Saturday

we'll be meeting up with two more couples I've stayed in touch with.

Tomorrow we head to the hotel by the trade show which starts Friday.

Maybe we can touch base next trip.
