Guest guest
They definitely aren't hicks. Those miners do more hard work in one day than most people do in a year in their cushy white collar jobs....lol My great grandfather and great uncle worked in coal mines here in South Western Indiana. Grandpa Bert lived to be in his 90's. Can't believe it with all that soot in his lungs, and he smoked a pipe. Goes to show ya how hard work builds a good backbone I guess. I heard one of the WV relatives say on TV something like we may not be smart but we're family. It has nothing to do with being smart. It's sad they have to live with how others in the US think about WV people. I am glad they have each other. They are going to need the strength of family and community. I feel for them. So sad what they had to endure. Ok, I'm done. God Bless the miners souls and their family and friends. Shirley
