Trish, I am not sure about saline breast implants; however, if anyone is positive for MGUS who has had saline, we would like to know.

Hi Trish,

MGUS is " monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance " . The MG part indicates

abnormal levels of a protein in the blood. In about 80 percent of cases, the

abnormal protein does not cause any problems. However, over time, 20 percent of

people will experience an increase in the amount of abnormal protein in their

blood, which may develop into a more serious condition, including some forms of

cancer.

MM is Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells produced in the bone

marrow.

Hi Bev,

Thanks you, yes, a big hug to you and keep up the good fight. It's been a really rough 2010 on my end, I know for you also and most here. Let's hope the new year brings us some good luck and healing. I'm glad the holidays are past. They were a difficult time to be alone for us with the family we were close to gone, and being unable to be with folks due to my MCS it's pretty isolating. So now back to "regular" life and we'll see how it goes.
