, welcome to the group. I'm sorry to hear that you are having so much

trouble with your knees. My chief complaints are fibromyalgia and cervical

spinal stenosis. So far, I don't know of any homeopathic things that will

help either one, so I take pain pills for it and hope that I can find a medical

program that will do surgery on my spine.

Love and gentle hugs,

Debi/So. Cal.-54

Hi all

I am new to this group but old to pain and the effects. I have a condition

where my knee caps love to dislocate and have done since birth. I have had

several operations but none have worked and one even made the condition in my

right leg a hell of a lot worse. I have been on pain medication for the last 10

years - every so often having to change it as it seems to longer work.

At present I am on Oxynorm - which I don't think you will have heard of in the

US. It is given for chronic pain over here normally for terminal cancer

patients. I sort of numbs the pain but it still there in the back ground. When

I have break through pain I have to take a solution of the stuff to help. But

I'd love to be able to have a day with out the pain or the medication. I find

the constant pain makes me feel low and un motivated (like I need an excuse!). I

have tried acupuncture and aromatherapy and found that one made the pain worse

and the aromatherapy didn't help with the pain but it did help me relax and

therefore gave me a better outlook on the day.

I look forward to reading about non medication forms of relief as living in the

UK means I wont be able to access the same meds.

Hi

Welcome to the group. I'm sorry you were born with

such a difficult, and painful problem.

Have you evaluated, and treated by a good physical

therapist, or better yet, a physiatrist? Here is a

link that explains what physiatrist does, and more:

http://www.physiatry.org/

The muscles, tendons, in your legs, can be trained to

help stabilize your knees. A physical therapist, can

train you how to do this, and a physiatrst, can help

you do the same, and mmoel
