Guest guest
, My DD does not have a Hangar helmet so I'm not sure if my opinion counts. However, the helmet does look a little too low on 's forehead. DD just got her DOC band and it's a bit low too. The orthotist recognized that it was low but wanted to leave it the same to see if it bothered her. The orthotist didn't want to take too much off of the band because the baby's head will grow and the portions that are taken off cannot be replaced. It doesn't seem to bother her but I still think it's a bit low. I'll discuss it with the orthotist this week. Does it seem to bother ? Guest guest
I would say - yes it looks too low. Call your ortho and bring him in - How long has he had it? I know for us in the beginning we had to several times in the 1st few weeks to get the right fit. JEN Mommy to 4...and 1 more!!!! Guest guest
Hi, my dd has a starband, but I think it is too low. I think it should hit around the eyebrows, but it looks lower than that. Several adjustments in the beginning are normal. I wouldn't worry too much as long as he's comfortable. Try and get it adjusted early next week. -christine mom to sydney/9mo/starband 5-31-06 > > I just posted a picture of in his helmet. I feel like it is > too low on his forehead. Guest guest
Hello. It does look a little low on his forehead. You should be able to have the Orthotist shave a little off of the forehead area for you. Jen (26 mo), tort resolved, Hanger Band Grad (4.5 years) > > I just posted a picture of in his helmet. Guest guest
HI, My daugther also has a starband and I think it is too low on her head. It is not quite as low as you son's. Anyway I ask our ped about it and if it we affect her vision (our PT was concerned) and she said as long as it was not covering the pupils of her eyes it would not affect her vision developement. Our ortho said the helmet needed to be that low to do it job and to allow for adjustments as she grows. I hope this helps. I know that there is so much to worry about with our little. Good luck. -Mom of Avery 5 months Hanger Band 8/23/06 tort and plagio > > > > I just posted a picture of in his helmet. I feel like it is > > too low on his forehead. Guest guest
Try www.cancertutor.com <http://www.cancertutor.com/> for a website with lots of info on different treatments. He is not a doctor nor a naturopath, and his opinions may not be the best. If your friend has some time, the Budwig protocol is one of the cheapest and easiest to follow and has one of the best " track records. " If your friend has little time left, you might consider doing the Cesium Chloride protocol first (it can only be done for 2-3 months) and then go on the Budwig protocol afterwards for the longer time healing. I have heard good and bad about the Cesium Chloride protocol. My husband and I considered trying it to get rid of the cancer faster, but he just wasn't real happy about the whole thing - neither the cost, nor the Cesium. Guest guest
-Why is it that a naturopath would get so defensive when someone seeks to get well? I met with mine yesterday and he got angry that I was following the Budwig protocol and still believing my healing. His opinion is MRI and schedule the mastectomy immediately. Why?? He claims that Johanna Budwig was a " wanted women " in mulitple countries before she died. Oh and her claims were never proven. If there is ANYONE out there that has had success following her protocol please respond!!!!!! Guest guest
There are some Naturopaths that want to stay in touch, closely, with conventional medicine because they obviously recognize it has the strength. With the current push to put natural methods in a bad light, this might make sense to some Naturopaths to be 'allies' with Allopathic medicine. By now it should be obvious Budwig's protocol has merit in many situation. This is the first time I heard about the 'wanted' status but even if true..........what's so bad about being 'wanted' once the powers that be go after you? Look at Birzinsky? The indicted him twice, if not three times, but he luckily was able to beat each case. I would change Naturopaths if that one was my physician. Joe C. Guest guest
Frann, I think maybe you don't have the right doctor for you. I found out three months ago that I have bilateral breast cancer. One of the tumors is 10 cm - about 4 inches, so we're not talking small potatoes here. I stood my ground when all the doctors were trying to pressure me into double mastectomy followed by radiation, chemo, and hormone therapy. On Tuesday I had a follow-up appointment with my surgeon in which she actually admitted that I am better! I was totally expecting her to give me the " you'd better have a mastectomy right away or you're going to die " speech again, but she did not. And I have done all that I have done so far without professional help. I did also see a holistic nutritionist on Tuesday, and she is helping me to step up my nutritional program for even greater results than I have already experienced. I do think that most doctors of any kind are scared to death of malpractice suits, but I have issues with any doctor that is so unsure of themselves. If they don't believe you can get well, how are you supposed to believe? From: fmschwegler Why is it that a naturopath would get so defensive when someone seeks to get well? Guest guest
--Joe: I am not against going for the MRI and even the PET Scan if necessary but first off I'm NOT loaded and don't have insurance and I have never even remotely thought about surgery. I have faith that the outcome of this will be what God intends and NOT man. I have peace and will be totally committed to see this through to the very end. Besides I have a book to write and a testimony to tell. Any ideas about the naturopath? My other was from Issells which claims to be so successful.... Guest guest
Hi , I have always given Threelac in the same rice milk with my daughter's Brainchild, and have gotten very good results. I can't spek to the enzymes, because we are not currently on them. However, I can tell you that my daughter gets Brainchild, Threelac, EPA, VItamin C, and zinc all in the same rice milk morning and evening.--Tod -- In , " mom2kaola " <mom2kaola@...> wrote: > > Hi! everybody , > I am so overwhelmed by the number of supplements that I am not even sure if I'm doing it > the right way? > > > > I am mixing threelac with brainchild multivitamins / minerals during the day and in the > evening I am mixing probiotics in the Brain child multivitamis/minerals. > > Is it ok to mix Threelac or probiotics with brain child's multivitamins? > > Can I also mix enzymes with probiotics and multivitamins? > > > Thanks a lot in advance. > >

When you use threelac do you have to restrict sugars and other things that yeast feed on. As I am having trouble right now with my son's sugar cravings while he is on diflucan and if diflucan doesn't work I would like to try a more natural route because I worried that these prescription antifungals could cause other problems. I am also interested in trying threelac with myself because I know I have a yeast problem. Do you guys think it helps? I am at my witts end around here with yeast issues. Even my dog has yeast in his ears. Uggghhhh! Please let me know any info you have. And how do you guys think brainchild works? I have some here but never started it because we happened to get in to our New DAN doc and he gives most vitamins seperately. So, we have so many supplements that I need to get up an hour earlier just to get to school and work on time. I feel like I am giving my son so much stuff and some is so hard to mix. The little guy is so great and takes all of his supplements by saringe. Wanda
Guest guest
Hi Wanda, The Threelac works much better if you REALLY limit the sugar. The more you limit it, the better the results. I have started taking it myself, and I have noticed that my itchy ears and nose have both gottne better, and I am just on one packet. I do not eat any sugar, but do drink a couple glasses of wime with dinner, and I have still noticed it working. My daughter takes 2-packets per day and consume NO sugar. We have had noe yast problems with her in 2-years now. FYI, diflucan, nyastatin, etc. did not knock out our yeast, just Threelac. I also use Brainchild, and have for over 2-years. I put it in the rice milk and she drinks fine. It is much better than having to mix all of those supps. I still have to supplement some things to get higher doses, but I am down to about 5-supps now.--Tod > > > > > > Hi! everybody , > > > I am so overwhelmed by the number of supplements that I am not even > > sure if I'm doing it > > > the right way? > > > > > > > > > > > > I am mixing threelac with brainchild multivitamins / minerals > > during the day and in the > > > evening I am mixing probiotics in the Brain child > > multivitamis/minerals. > > > > > > Is it ok to mix Threelac or probiotics with brain child's > > multivitamins? > > > > > > Can I also mix enzymes with probiotics and multivitamins? > > > > > > > > > Thanks a lot in advance. > > > > > > > > > Hi, I see that you guys still use rice milk along with threelac. Guest guest
Hello and welcome to the group. I'm in the US as are a lot of moms here (but there are a few from the UK, Canada and other countries). Unfortunately I don't know of any funding for you. Also unfortunately many insurers in the US don't cover banding either and parents have to pay out of pocket. We were very luck that our band was covered. It is great that you are starting with a band at 5 mo. you should see very good correction. Hopefully someone else from the UK will post with funding info, but if you have more questions or want to " talk " this is a great group. take care. -christine sydney 17 mo starband grad > > Hi everyone I hope you can help. > > Our daughter Hannah was born with a flat head which we were told would > correct itself but after 5 months we finally took it upon ourselves to > refer her for Starband treatment as her head was getting worse.
