Guest guest Posted November 29, 2004 Report Share Posted November 29, 2004 Oh Sophia I must applaud you for doing all that. ;-) I was smack in the middle of college when the Lupus hit so hard and I had to quit. ;-( I was a hair away from my Bachelors and planned to go for the Masters at least. Sooo sad - one of the saddest things ever for me, because here I sit on Disability and struggle big time and really don't have a life. I am as active as I can be in my church but... I do a women's Bible study, started [trying haha] to play handbells for the choir, go in every week and sort, fold and staple allll the bulletins [it is getting harder and harder to do that this year though], and we always have lot's of little things going on there, so I am grateful for that anyway. But oh to have finished college.... This is a sweet stationary.. ;-) Brings back memories of growing up in Fla. and spending many hours on the beach by myself all the time. ;-) xo Liliput ~ li ----- Original Message ----- Hiya, Ok all I have caught up on my mail and have spent time at my computer which gets me away from the homework.... Guest guest Posted November 29, 2004 Report Share Posted November 29, 2004 ah li, Is there no way you could go back to school and finish it up>??? maybe long distance through your computer or video class??? they make it much easier now sometimes for you to get it depending on the classes left for you to take.. maybe you should check into it.. I would just die to be so close and still not get rewarded for all that time and work you put into it.. Hugs you for being so active in your church .. just Bless your heart there are always so many yet so few that really want to do the little things that people take for granted all the time... I love your name by the way. ;-) I wish I could finish, but... too many factors going against me; it's been a looong time since I was in college, I am afraid of the "failure" thing with the fog brain, and I have been fighting these nasty nasty student loan people for over 10 years now. If I even dared to go back to school, they'd try to make me pay. It's a long story but when I became disabled [it is total and permant, via social security], they normally would cancel the loans. They didn't; they played bad games with me for all these years, even though the docs and I did all the right paperwork and more than once. I gave up years ago - I won't even talk to them or correspond - nothing,. I have begged them to take me to court. They won't because they know they are full of it. Now my $8,000.00 loan is...hell I don't even know now - $20,00.00 if you ask them. lol! Oh yes I sure did apply for forbearances and deferments but they literally lied many times - they are just too bad. Even my doc was so pissed as he would sign papers, send it to them and they'd send a copy back with his sig. whited out saying he didn't sign it... They have harassed my DAD - who has nothing to do with my loans... I couldn't handle them on my ass again - no way.
