This came in my mail box this morning so I'm sending it on for all of you to see. The National Multiple

Sclerosis Society is working hard to get the word out about this very important week, and we need your help! Your group is a valuable resource to the MS community and we would love if you would post information about MS Awareness Week. On March 13 we launch the “Face of MS,” an interactive online exhibit collecting and featuring the stories of people affected by MS. It will serve as a platform for

everyone allied in the fight against MS to tell their story, to hear from others, and to give both the general public and those within the MS community a better understanding of a disease that impacts each and every person in a different way. It is only by putting a face on the disease will we begin to understand what it means to live with MS. Every story matters and every story counts. And with your help, we can start to tell everyone’s story. Visit www.faceofms.org. For more information on how you can get involved with MS Awareness Week, visit www.msawarenessweek.org. know that through MS Awareness Week and the Face of MS we can reach millions of people and raise awareness about this disease. Thanks so much for your help! Best, Annie Hammel National MS Society MSAwarenessWeek@...

Hi Sharon. Thank you for this message. I know all of us have our

of commision for a couple of months, but am getting better, so I'm

back with the group that I enjoy so very much. Hello to all of you

& thanks once again, Sharon! I look forward to " rejoining " the

Hi Sharon, thanks for asking. Yes, I was "down" for the last couple of months - lots of MS "fog", brain to mouth problems (I can think the words, see them in my mind, but can't seem to get them out in conversation). Also quite a bit of leg and foot pain and just general malaise, I guess. Disorganized in my thought processes. I had another MRI yesterday, & bloodwork done, so I'll see what the heck is going on. My Dr. switched some meds around, so that may help, too. I will be starting Yoga next week & have been getting out daily, so that has all helped, too. It sure is good to feel good again & be able to participate with you all. I sure did miss all of you. I hope everyone is doing alright & I'm looking forward to getting "back in the groove" Take care & again, thanks for asking about me. I appreciate it very much. I certainly understand about 'leg pain and general malaise'. What kind of leg pain are you having? At night? I've been having a bad time with nocturnal spasms and central pain. I thought my bad times were over but I had another bad night last night and now my hands and arms are jerky and weird. My neuro started me on Baclofen last month and that's helping. But I'm still trying to find the right dosage for me. love SharonDeborah wrote: Hi Sharon, thanks for asking. Yes, I was "down" for the last couple of months - lots of MS

Hi Sharon ~ The leg pain I've been having (mostly in my left) is in my thigh (topside) and my calf. Sometimes it just "catches" me like when I'm walking, or even sitting down. At night when I lay down, sometimes it just kind of aches and I can't get comfortable. I've found that if I take my meds (Neurontin, Ditropan XL, Lexapro & Klonopin) (my nightime regimen ) and draw a nice warm bath with some lavender & chamomile, and just relax and soak for at least a half an hour, it's getting easier to relax that jerky leg and get comfortable enough to go to sleep and stay that way.....I had not been sleeping for quite some time, but in the past few days, this little regimen has seemed to work for me. I also have a body length pillow that I put my bad leg over - it also seems to help. I have alot of heel pain, too. The best way I can describe it, is if you were to put a round rock about the size of a nickel or quarter directly into the center of your heel in your shoe & then tried to walk on it. I've had plantar faschitis years ago & it's very similar to that. Wow! I didn't mean to write a novel, here....see what happens when you ask a simple question?? ha! And in answer to the nocturnal spasms, my son (who is 19) told me that he had watched me in my sleep several times, and he said he couldn't understand how I didn't wake myself up, I jerked so violently - so apparently I do have them, I'm just not aware of when it's happening - but boy in the daylight, I sure do. It's like someone punched me right on the top middle of my thigh. And in the back, it's somewhat like a charley horse in my calf. So that's me - I've tried Baclofen in the past, and cannot take it. I can't take any Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories - (NSAIDS) - it makes my stomach feel like someone is kicking my guts out. No Aleve, or Ibuprofen, either. And I've heard they all help quite a bit. Well, here I go, rambling on again. I hope this finds you doing well - thank you for the links to MS Awareness Week. I will surely check it all out. Happy days to you - debbie> > > Subject: MS Awareness Week> > > Date: Tue, 21 Feb 2006 08:37:34 -0500> > > From: "PR Associate" PR.Associate@> > > To: MSersLife-owner > > > > > > Hey there - > > > I'm writing to let you know that March 13-17, 2006 has been > > designated MS Awareness Week.
