Guest guest
We are a regoinal healthcare system that has a growing Lymphedema case load in both outpatient and inpatient environments. We currently have 8 Lymphedema trained therapists in Outpatient and 9 Lymph Therapists in Inpatient. Our current situation is that the Outpatient therapist who work M-F also provide some coverage on the weekend and the Inpatient therapists provide coverage as well, but are also needed for discipline specific care due in part to the combination of a growing case load and limited staffing on the weekends. My question is how do other facitilities address this issue? What kind of priority selection is made for the weekends? Have you found this to be productive, cost effective and beneficial? Any other ideas? Hockett Director of Outpatient Rehab Health Springfield, MO
