I am little confused over the abbreviation SSDI.

My understanding has been that SS has two programs,

one is SSD and the other is SSI.

I would also like to know what SSDI is. I am clueless. Is it social security

disability insurance? If so, can someone tell me about it?

Thanks

SSDI is social security disability insurance.

Major difference is SSDI. To qualify you have had to have paid in a

certain amount of money into social security, before being disabled.

SSI is given to a disabled person who did not, pay or did not pay

enough into social security.

The Big difference is you will get more monthly on SSDI

I hope this helps Dave

Yes this is what the program is that you have had to

put in enough hours working outside the home. They

need to come up with a program where women get SS for

work in the home.
