Guest guest
Moderator's note: If anyone can help Vicki, please contact her privately. We are not a USA only group. I strongly recommend, that you see your local pharmacist about chosing which medical program. Call ahead, and make an appointment, and take your medications with you. That should help. Also, you need to see a lawyer about your debts. A lawyer, can tell you your options, and help you before someone starts to garnishee your income. Kaylene Hello, I have been disabled now for quite some time with RSD, Fibro, TMJ, IC, DDD, and bulging disks. Surprisingly I qualified for disability on the first try and they even back dated my pay for a whole year previous to the date I was accepted. Is this pretty rare to have happen?? Anyways, we are trying to figure out the best way to have medical care coverage. We are trying to figure out if we should just use my husbands work policy and the Medicare or if we should go with a medigap (Medicare supplement) policy instead. There are so many companies and they all charge different amounts and some only work in certain states and it is all so confusing to me. There are even plan like a Blue Cross Blue Shield one that they handle even the Medicare part of it. I don't remember what that part is called though. If any of you could give me any pointers or advice I would really appreciate it If you could let me know which company you use and which plan. It would also be great to know what kind of logic to use in figuring out which way is best to go. We have spent probably 15 hours so far trying to figure this out and we are actually more confused now then before we started. My husband has done most of the looking because trying to be on the phone for hours on end makes my pain too bad. I feel so bad to put such a burden on him, but I really can't do it. I am also really struggling in life with all of my pain and medical bills and lots of things. I am only 32, but most days I feel like I am 90. I have a 1 year old and a 3 year old and I stay at home with them. It is very very hard for me to do this since I hurt so much, but we can't afford to put them in daycare. I end up always feeling guilty about the things can't do with/for them. Luckily they are both adopted so I didn't have the physical stress of childbirth, and when we adopted the first it was before I got RSD. Then we started the process for the second adoption before the RSD starting moving to most of my body like it is now. In case you were all thinking about how crazy we were to intentionally put me in a position to care for two such young children spaced so closely. Sorry for such a long post, but as you can see I am desperate for anything and everything anyone can tell me. Thanks a bunch, Vicki
