Hello !

I am a newbie so please forgive if I couldn't find the info first. My son does

not " appear " to have any diet issues and by diet issues I mean-he is pretty

regular, normal stools, no diarrea, he is not terribly picky , no veggies

though. SO i was wondering if I could go straight to chelation without the diet

or should I do the diet anyway. I have purchased but not yet received the

enzynes from Houston Nutraceuticals. Could i give him those inlieu of starting

the diet? I have attempted the diet in the past. But didn't notice change I

could attribute to the diet. He was also getting heavy ABA at the time and it

seemed like that was what was working for him. I also give a cocktail of

liquid multivitamin,

liquid vitC,

cod liver oil with DHA,

Oil of oregano,

olive leaf extract,

choline/inisitol,

5HTP,

singulair for allergies.

The Oil of oregano really helps for yeasty type things like cracked lips. We

are blessed that he is doing well, but I kind of live in fear of " regression " .

He still has things to work on, -stimming, meltdowns though not as bad, etc...-

and i would like to push him through to NT. I feel like I may have been remiss

in doing the bio interventions correctly so I am going to start over again and

try to do it right. By the way my DS is 6, weighs about 50lbs. We started

interventions late so we are going very intensive-the pediatrician said " he's

fine, put him in daycare " and he'll start talking-its no big deal he'll start

talking soon. So for the first 3-4 years we did no interventions and are now

trying to make up for lost time.

If anyone actually takes the time to read this really long post-I thank you in

advance for any info. And love this group-best info yet!

:)

...It's never too late to start! As a parent you just have to use your own intuition as well.. When my son was 2 1/2 years old his Pediatrician only recommended speech therapy. I went over her head and took him to an ENT. He wasn't totally non-verbal but speech wasn't clear. I decided to lie to the ENT and tell her that my son had 5 ear infections in 3 months. She tried to encourage me that he would talk in his own time until I demanded ear tubes. When she came out to speak to my husband and I post op. she said "oh my gosh...he had tons of fluid behind his ears. " That's when I realized I had to do whatever in my power to make sure I stay informed and ahead of the game. I don't care if I have to get a RX for myself, Valtrex,

Diflucan or whatever is needed...I will to use for my kid because now I'm having a hard time getting those RX's written for my son.

Be encouraged and remember it's not a sprint but a marathon.

Sharon...I would clean his ears and the next day he would have wax beginning to flow out of the ear canal. I knew normally your ears don't have wax so soon. Also, my son would never respond to me but was always quiet and mild tempered. It really seemed as if he just could not hear. I assumed he could not hear but I had his hearing tested and it was fine. So my instinct told me there had to be something else since he could hear so I called it drainage.

i never thought about fluid build up because my ds never has had an ear infection. he does have alot of ear wax everyday, and we too had his hearing tested.

im thinking of starting cranial-sacral again but this time adding in the lymph drainage.

If you have concerns that your child may not be hearing very well, take him/her to see an ENT and tell them there's lots of drainage coming from the ears and they will test.

you're welcome , in fact we took out ALL dairy , it's very important , we once

gave hime goat cheese and yoghurt(we were told these wouldn't harm ) but it

didn't really work only when we took out ALL DAIRY ...

Sometimes his ears were itchy ,crashed raw garlic with olive oil helped a lot ,

hope this helps..

to do whatever in my power to make sure I stay informed and ahead of the game.

I don't care if I have to get a RX for myself, Valtrex, Diflucan or whatever is

needed...I will to use for my kid because now I'm having a hard time getting

those RX's written for my son.

Sharon, My son passed the hearing test as well. This test is determined by the sound wave response received from the hair one's ear. My son's ENT placed us in a sound proof booth and sent different sounds to each spreaker to see if he would respond by looking for the sound or turning his head in that direction. Then she used a tool with a point on the end to check for drainage. At that time she said there was only one ear with wax but I demanded ear tubes because I knew he could hear but wasn't sure how he was hearing.

Do you believe your child can hear? Does he watch your lips when you talk? When you call his name does he come?

My ears actually pop after I consume dairy. I never noticed until I eliminated

most of it (always had lots of earwax) and then I started noticing that after I

drank my morning coffee with cream (my only source of dairy) that my ears would

pop afterward. It was the last source of dairy to go, *sigh*.

My son had terribly thick, dark, almost flowing ear wax. It is gone externally

now. The DAN says that fish oil is what caused it to go away.
