Guest guest
Hi Jo, I could have wrote this letter myself as I have experienced the same symptoms that you describe. I finally got my doctor to do something about it. He put me on liquid oxygen since the concentration level is higher. I went from 5 L on the gas to 3 L on liquid. Feel better, not so exhausted with everything I do. He also prescribed a hospital bed which also helps. My SAT levels would also drop just walking from room to room in my house. It is probably a good idea to have your chest listened to or an X ray taken just to make sure there is nothing new going on. Mention the liquid to your doctor and see if that will help you. One thing I am having trouble with is I've been on the liquid 2 weeks and last night I went out with the gas portables. Was gone about 5 hrs and didn't feel well. My oxygen was in the high 70's when I got home and that was on 5 ltrs. Has anyone else experienced this going from liquid to gas? Without us passing on infor. we would be in the dark if we relied just on our doctors. They are not much on communicating - at least mine isn't.
