Guest guest
, Sounds like you had a wonderful career. I married in 1974, was a stay at home mom and had six kids in the next 10 years. I did not start teaching until 1993. My last day was May 6, 2006 and I too missed it until just recently. I am just too tired and can't imagine being in the classroom all day. I am very much enjoying my early retirement and spend most of my time visiting kids and grandkids. Still waiting on Grandchild # 8. She is 7 days past her due date now and her poor mom is getting anxious. Right now I am having a "slumber party" on the front room floor of son #2's house with my 3 and 4 year old grandsons. My additional bedmates are Rex the Wonder Dog and Spiderman and life seems pretty good! I got my masters degree in the Psychology of Reading in 1976.I started back as a substitute in 1985 in the same school as my son Sam...then found the best job. I've been a college Study Skills and Developmental Reading and ESL instructor at the local community college for the past 18 years. I missed all of it at first..but I don't have the energy to even think much about it anymore. -- Z.NSIP/05 "I'm gonna be iron like a lion in Zion." She said I was a "high responder" to prednisone. I get all the side effects (Cushings, puffiness, weight gain, spine erosion) but I also get the good benefits. My lung volume increases dramatically ( 34 to 69%) and I have enough strength to live a fairly normal life. She said most people only have a slight increase in lung volume and a slight increase in strength. Do you notice a big difference when you are off prednisone?
