Guest guest
- I can certainly see why Tina is in shock! What a crazy time for your family. I will keep you all in my thoughts. Surely things will settle down as Cody's condition is brought under control and Brittney recovers, hopefully with some improvements in her health, after her surgery. Guest guest
sorry for my previous oops! and Tina, Oh what a rough time for your family. I hope things 'tame down' and everything gets sorted out, soon. I can imagine Tina is in shock and probably confused! I hope that Tina is trying to get some sleep. When had her palate repair surgery (past Nov). I could not sleep -- (About 72 hr) after much apprehension-the nurses and had me take a sleeping pill. I too think that it's a good idea to combine the surgeries. Did the docs tell you what Brittney had last week? Does Brittney need to have her hearing tested (ABR)? It's another 'something' that could possibly be done at this same time, if it's necessary. Hugs & Prayers, Jan mom to (15 1/2 mo.) Guest guest
OH my goodness what a shock for Tina indeed. I will be thinking of them all... By the way, I think it's GREAT they are doing both the ears & stomach surgery at the same time. Kennedy's had 5 different things done under anesthetic before. The more they can get done with the least number of intubations/anesthetics the better! " - Frost Brittney & Cody It has been a bad and very long week for us. Tina's little boy Cody had been sick throwing up since January 25, we had him to the emergency room on the 25th and then on the 31st, they told us all along that he had the flu. But I had to take him back on the Febuary 1st because he was still throwing up profusly. They give him Phengran shot and he still wouldn't quit. So they finally done some blood work and found out he has Diabetics. His blood sugar was 1000 the first time they checked it and then it went up to 1400. They started giving him insluin to lower it. And they they transfered him to City Medical Center. When we got down there the doctor told us that Bristol had lowered his blood sugar to fast and he was in critical condition because his organs could fail. But thank the good Lord above he made it thru the night. So and that point we had Brittney in the ICU at Memorial in Abingdon which is 50 miles away from Cody. So finally yesterday they transfered Brittney down to where Cody is. Tina has been pretty much in shock. But she is doing better. Cody is doing alot better now that he is on insulin. It will be awhile before they get him under control with his insluin. Brittney is doing good. They are going to do surgery on her Acid Relux and put tubes in her ears at the same time. I hope this will not be too much for her by doing both surgery's at the same time. We all are very hopeful that everything get better sometime soon. I will try to keep you informed how things are going. Thanks so much for the prayers. Tina's mom Brittney & Cody's Grandma

Guest guest
Oh thank goodness and thank you for the update.... I feel so bad for Tina, having to deal with another medical issue now.... Hugs to you & her, Weir Mom to Kennedy 4yr old CHARGEr, 12, 10, and wife to Graeme New Brunswick, Canada Visit the " Weir homepage " at: http://personal.nbnet.nb.ca/gweir ICQ #1426476 " In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. " - Frost Brittney & Cody Just wanted to let everyone know that Cody & Brittney are out of ICU. Cody is suppose to get out of the hospital today. He is adjusting to getting his shots. Brittney had her acid reflux surgery yesterday. She done fine during the procedure. They decided not to put the tubes in her ears they said all her problems were due to the reflux. I hope they are right. Tina seems to be doing alright with giving Cody his shots. Thanks everyone for your prayers and thoughts. I hope everyone else is doing OK with their children. It sure is a relief having somewhere to go to talk with about all of this. I will try to let you know how it is going. Tina's Mom
